Laweut dance

Laweut dance is dance that originated from Aceh. Laweut derived from the word invocation, addressed to the lord praise the Prophet Muhammad. Before the designation laweut used, first of all called Akoon (Seudati Inong). Laweut established its name in the Aceh Cultural Week II (PKA II). This dance originated from Pidie and has grown throughout the province.

This dance movement, which dancers from the top left and right of way line movement entered the stage and instantly create a composition berbanjar one, facing the audience, salute with both hands raised to the extent the chest, then started doing dance movements.
